National Leaders of Education
NLEs usually work with schools identified as being in need of significant improvement by the Department for Education, Ofsted, a teaching school or a local authority. Regardless of this, any school for any circumstance can request NLE support.
NLEs can become involved in School Improvement and Support in different ways, for example:
- working alongside teaching and support staff
- working alone on tasks requested
- working with the Teaching School Alliance Director to source additional expertise including LLEs, SLEs and other sources of support as identified during visits to the school.
