HLTA Pedagogy Programme & HLTA Status Award

With increased pressures on staffing and budgets, many schools are keen to develop their TAs, LSAs and HLTAs to unlock their full potential, increasing their impact on Teaching, Learning and Assessment.

We are delighted to offer both pedagogy training for HLTAs and the HLTA Status Award* (*in partnership with Best Practice Network, a national provider)

There are 2 options available:

 

1. HLTA Status Award (Primary & Secondary)

A nationally recognised professional award for evidencing HLTA status. Two Preparation days (face-to-face) will explore the HLTA Standards, final Assessment process and how to accurately and successfully complete a portfolio of evidence. The award is gained through a portfolio of evidence and a half-day Assessment visit to your school. GCSE A-C Maths and English or Level 2 equivalent must be evidenced at booking. 2. The HLTA Pedagogy Programme (Primary)

For aspiring or designated Primary HLTAs who wish to develop current practice. Over 5 half day sessions, explore how to maximize their effectiveness when leading learning of pupils; develop resilience and self-management; explore the leadership role and difficult conversations; high expectations and high engagement in learning; maximising progress and achievement of SEND pupils; lesson design, implementation and impact and effective questioning.

University Credits
For successful completion of the HLTA Pedagogy Programme, delegates will be awarded 20 HE Credits at L4 by the University of Suffolk.

The 20 credits can be used for purposes of further study exclusively with University of Suffolk, and are not transferrable.  These can lead to further qualifications, and can be a route into teaching after having obtained a degree from distance learning.
