This section, highlights specific helplines for Parents and Carers who may need extra support at home or in the community.  The helplines sited offer guidance in a variety of situ specific helplines actions where families may need extra help and advice to support and enable young people with Autism.

Behaviour support at Home

Families operation request request for support form –

Refrerral to Family Solutions via the Essex FORS form.  They can assist with a range of issues like helping to implement routines, accessing social housing and effective parenting strategies.  They do have criteria which needs to be met (i.e., significant behavioural needs, unemployment and rent arrears.

Emergency Duty service (immediate out of hours response) 0345 606 1212 (Mon – Thurs 5.00pm-8.45am), Fr 4.30pm-Mon 8.45am including bank holidays)

As a non-profit ‘Community Interest Company’ (CIC) we design and facilitate sustainable health and wellbeing solutions. Our focus is both preventative, as well as offering a range of one-stop-shop services to meet the needs of those suffering from mental ill health, as well as offer support for those who would like to enhance their life chances. Our aim is to reduce stigma of mental ill health and support individuals through positive psychological/behaviour change, enabling them to live happier and healthier lives. We offer a variety of services including: advocacy, practical support, training and workshops.

PACT for Autism

PACT for Autism is a Harlow based Charity providing support for the families of autistic children, autistic adults and people with similar conditions. Our key services include the Parent Support Line, monthly meetings for parent and carer support, and a vibrant activities and events calendar, including our popular autism talks and training series.
